Messed up eating habits

The depression brought on stupid eating habits i’m finding hard to get rid off. I stopped eating roti, rice, all chatpati cheezein and these things were my LIFE. I can now eaisly pass on pizza, kebabs and samosay…no temptation taken from them. And that is so weird considering i lived for this sorta food.

And instead i have adopted binge, purge by restriction … for exampla, eat loadssss…and then live on a handful of peanuts and a choc bar for days and then binge and then the whole cycle again. Because i stopped eating my normal foods…i ‘discovered’ others. Chocolates, cakes, desserts…all stupid things…and now i find it hard to give up one for the other. I can’t choose which one i should go for. Should i have the pizza or the chocolate cake so i end up finding it best not to eat less i wana put my mind in a frenzy of choices.

It’s my 4th day on the fruit detox thing. Why am i even on it ? I’ve just been eating fruit and nothing else. My social life is revolving around my eating too. Like i left the milad early so that i wouldn’t have to eat and i’m going to one today and i’m trying to figure a way out of eating…

Ooh DD you are not the only one whose messed up. :-( I used to eat roti, rice, almost anything but now I can't eat any salan, rice or roti.

Like yesterday I cooked a big pot of chicken korma and rice for my mom and I couldnt take a bite of it, chicken used to be my favorite food.

Instead I took an apple and had a bowl of cereal with milk and thats what I eat whole day.

In the morning I can have parathi with fried egg but in the evening its not even possible to think of food.
Sorry couldn't say anything tp help you, but I can understand this disorder and its quite annoying. Try to take it easy and dont stress so much over it, just eat whatever u like and make sure healthy food is also included.

OMG i'm doin the same thing, and im scared my hair will fall out or ill get wrinkles coz if you dont eat properly you look like a witch...for example I eat 1 weetabix in the mornin, cant even finish it, then later in the day i eat a tuna sanwich and then all day i eat nothin, i try to eat roti but it makes me sick, i dont even eat junk. I don't know how to get back on three meals a day without feelin sick and i'm scared i'm starting to hate food because my body is rejecting it. I feel hungry all the time but I can't eat. :(

hmmmmm seems like alot of us are going thru the same situation… I think a person really needs to stop focusing on what your eating and ohh thats bad for you instead eat a variety of foods in a limited quantity.

Although if your like me… i stay so busy that i dont have time to eat and when i do i’ll eat junk food :frowning: :crying:

I think your hunger dies when you stop eating properly.

You should eat 3 meals a day. Dont cut out anything, just eat everything in moderation, when you cut certain things out this brings on binge eating and messing up your eating pattern.

Man the fruit diet detox...bahar mea jaiyyyyyyyyyy. I put on a kilogram LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL Im off it ...and ive been eating proper since yesterday...see how long it lasts.

my moms a health nut. she stopped going to safeway and shops at trader joes(an organic/health food store). i dont mind since trader joes food is good. she stopped buying chips except for tortilla chips and she doesnt buy store bought snacks because the contain hydrogenated oil with the exception of crackers which my parents eat with chai. i have gotten used to it and now i cant eat a peice of white bread.

Eating samething on a regular basis can have your mouth stop drooling for it (figure of speech). Just try a variety diet where you eat different foods/recipes every three or four days. Then you go back to the ones you had before that.

for those of you who have appetite problems, or rather lack of appetite

try to take cinnamon and honey each day to stimulate your appetite and keep healthy, wholsome foods.

for example toast spread with butter and honey and a sprinkling of cinnamon or cinnamon and honey in horlicks at night or even added to things like rice pudding (like mullar ricea dd to vanilla or apple flavour)

If you dont put enough food in your body at the right times, your body will start to suffer... headaches, stress, not thinking straight, etc
