Re: Merry Christmas ....
When is 12th of rabi ul aval? Actually when is rabi ul awal?
Happy holidays to everyone and a merry christmas to those celebrating it.
Re: Merry Christmas ....
Thanks but I don't celebrate any of the holidays mentioned in this topic so far.
Re: Merry Christmas ....
Minime u have butchered the eid twice now. First eid milad ul nabi and now eid milad ud nabi. Isn;t it Eid Milad-un-nabi?
Re: Merry Christmas ....
Merry Christmas to all those who think that Christmas is haraam.
Re: Merry Christmas …
how can the date on which Prophet died be considered as “eid” (festivity).. ![]()
Re: Merry Christmas ....
Butchered...may be I was thinking of "Bari" Eid, anyway you are right it should be Eid Milad-un-nabi, and this Eid Milad-un-nabi has nothing to do with Rabi ul awal. Its has more to do with Spring but what can you do, its celebrated in December.
Re: Merry Christmas …
Mini u shock me ![]()
Eid Milad-un-nabi is Prophet Muhammad’s :saw: birthday and death anniversary which is the 12th of rabi ul awal.
Bari eid is Eid ul Azha.
Abdullah K isn’t extended grieving discouraged in Islam? I think in that spirit the Prophet’s birth is given precedence over his death since the date is the same for both.
Re: Merry Christmas …
Correct - grieving for a deceased person is only persmissible for three days after the person’s death. Hence, one should be against any processions taken out of grief.
In my view, it’s a form of innovation which does not have any sanctity or disposition under any sort of Islamic guideline. The Prophet (PBUH) never celebrated his own birthday, and neither did any of the Sahabah after his death.
Re: Merry Christmas ....
True. Following his example would be a much higher tribute than lighting up cities to celebrate his life.
Re: Merry Christmas …
Astagfirrullah ![]()
Re: Merry Christmas …
^Astaghfar for waht?
FF, as long as we consider Eesa (AS) as Nabi, his brithday would be Eid Milad-un-nabi, so no shock there.
Re: Merry Christmas ....
How do you know he was born on Dec 25th?
Re: Merry Christmas ....
^Ohh its thats the reason I should say Astagfirrullah?
Re: Merry Christmas ....
Happy Christmas to all.
I wish you all pease and happy life.
Re: Merry Christmas ....
