I just had a question regarding mermaid lenghas. What other names do they go by? I’ve heard “fish tail” lenghas and “umbrella cut” lenghas as well. Are they all the same, or is the style slightly different? I’ve seen various kinds of “mermaid” lenghas, but i prefer the ones that aren’t tooo tight with a slight flare on the bottom cuz I want to be able to walk in it on my wedding day. I’m not sure if they go by another name. Also…will this style work on a thin frame? Can sumone plz give me the 411!
Well there is a slight difference between all three of them.
A mermaid skirt is a tight skirt from ur thighs till ur knees and then a flared piece underneath it.It hugs the body until it reaches the knees or just below and then ends in a dramatic flare.
A fish tail is a "mermaid skirt" with a (long) sweep on the back, indeed very fashionable during 2003/2004. Lots of Designers (Maria B, HSY, Karma) had it in their Bridal collection of 2003/2004.
It is not a hot item as such anymore, but still loads of brides wear it. It is a personal choice.
Hmmm...no longer in style? really? I just went to a wedding fashion show here in Canada, and that's the style all the models were wearing. I don't really care if it's not in style anymore. Here in Canada we're like a year late w/ the latest trends anyways..haha. Thanks for clarifying for me though.
Another question. What other stylez of lehngas are there? Straight cut? A line? I'm not very good w/ the terminology....but do let me know!
Now a days in Pak tri-color and bi-color tri’s are very inn!!! khaer as for styles normal ones with flare are evergreen popular.. to be honest they really look nice rather than if you make out something different, NOT EVERYONE will like it…
Like my sister in law; had an umbrella/mermaid style, believe me the olden time ladies didnt appreciate it a bit… thats why i would suggest to stick to the normal flare one.. to give it a twist, blouse ya us kay style per designing different kerlo…
I don't know but I think personally any type of langa can be suited (it's not that impt if it's necessarily "IN"...as long as you have the figure for it, mermaid style langas are hot...
