It is time for me to come out from this crap-hole I’ve been hiding in and admit this: I suck at Urdu
Yea, when I speak with anyone in my family in Urdu, I’m pretty fluent in it. When it comes to speaking Urdu with anyone else, I just completely lose it and start talking really slow and make a complete idiot out of myself. The reason I joined GS was to improve my Urdu. I must say, my Urdu has gotten much better than it used to be. But, I still suck. I guess it’s because I don’t speak Urdu with anyone on a regular basis. My parents talk to me in Urdu and all that, but I usually reply in English. . So, I have decided to make a temporary commitment.** I am going to talk in Urdu on GS from now until I’m happy with my Urdu.** Yea, ok I’ll mix a few English words in there because I don’t know all the words in Urdu. So, I ask you, my fellow GS posse clan, to correct me when I say something wrong and remind me to speak in Urdu if I accidentally forget and say something in Urdu.
P.S. For those of you who chose to make fun of me, I’ve decided to take a different approach this time. I’m simply going to ignore you :).
The best way to improve your Urdu and to get faster results is that you talk to people outside of your family (friends etc) in Urdu. You can start calling me on weekends and talk to me in Urdu. It's free. You just have to make the phone call. I won't charge you my fee.
