hi friends…this new drama on Hum tv seems to b interesting…humayun’s character also sounds a bit diff nd goood…but thanx the heroine is changed frm the previous ones…Nadia Jamil…anyoone watch it…?
Re: "Meri Jaan"
haven't seen it yet. I will only watch it because of Nadia Jamil.
It is directed by Baber lavish Javed again so I have a feeling it will be kind of Bleh! :(
Re: "Meri Jaan"
I just saw the promo of this on yt. Looks well the usual
Re: "Meri Jaan"
I had been waiting for this serial since I saw the promo. Fell in love with the OST and being a huge huge Nadia Jamil fan, I couldn"t let this past the radar.
But to be honest though, having watched the first episode, I have to say I'm a tad disappointed even though its still too early in the game to give out a verdict. I knew I couldn't expect miracles, this being a Babar Javed direction but at the same time I wasn't ready or expecting the lame backgorund sounds mixed with an exaggerated and an unnecessary comic angle. Babar has a tendency to concot an unnecessary amounf of characters into his tale which tends to make the bigger picture of the sroy lose focus and it just goes all over the place. When will he ever realize that you can very well do with just ONE love story? The only reason he's roped in the character of Deepak perwani is because he wants to get a love angle between him and ZQ. Meh!
Anyways I'm just watching it for Nadia and Humayun being a huge fan of this duo.
I'm loving Humayun's "deep" character. Nadia is good and I'm lovng the intercations with Azfar [Humayun]. Just can't wait till we get a solid story developing between the two.
I guess I'm just going to ignore all the "background noise".
Wish Mehreen Jabbar would listen to my requests of her casting Nadia Jamil in a play either with Humayun or Faisal Rehman someday :(

same here :( they were fabulous in Dhoop mein Sawan and Aur Zindagi badalti hai and now look at Babar exploiting them. I don't know how Nadia Jamil got sucked into this role. It doesn't look like it will be much considering a plethora of other nonsense characters in the story.
And I don't get the whole comic angle either. I think Baber is trying to make one of those 70's Amitabh movies where it had masala, comedy, thrill and songs all in one. Here we go again! Hum TV lovin' on some India - pass me the dosa and matar paneer please. ;-)
Re: "Meri Jaan"
I know eh! Dhoop mein sawan and Aur Zindagai badalti hai are my absolute favs! Classics :p
I doubt we'll ever get to see serials like those anymore esp not when certain directors seem to be having an identity crisis and are hell bent on trying to supposedly refurbish Pakistani industry by incorporating in the Indian soap elements (read: unnecessarily stretching the storyline, pointless comic + love angles, big cars, big houses, Indian songs, Hinduism etc etc). As if that's big renaissance needed. Remember "Mujhay Apna Bana Lo?" Haha hilarious.
And as for how Nadia ever got into this in the first place, I'm as clueless as you.
I know Babar's going to ruin this but I wish he won't. I wish somehow Humayun and Nadia would make up for it...
yeah right :(

i'm sure he'll ruin this......
story itni achi nahin lag rahi lakin humayun aur nadia ko cast karny se kuch behter ho jay.
Does any one know the name of the novel from which the story is adapted?
Re: "Meri Jaan"
^^ I was wondering the same thing. It says it's an adaptation but it doesn't say from which English story (my guess) they have adapted. Idiooots.
I am watching the end of each episode to catch the next episode preview to see if anything interesting is going on LOL
Re: "Meri Jaan"
^
it's almost too sad, but that's how our dramas have become now :(
i might be wrong but i am getting feelings that nadia jamil is behing her husband's murder or the reason behind he is missing
Re: "Meri Jaan"
^^ oooh interesting :) I haven't followed it that much to figure that out. But it looks like Humayun is not behind the hubby's disappearance...
I got it. Its adapted from "Someone to watch over me" by Judith McNaught
Re: "Meri Jaan"
i love this drama but its going too slow :(
and humayun is looking soo handsome in this drama, first time i think so about him lol
