*Meri Jaan* on Hum TV

Re: Meri Jaan on Hum TV

^agree, BMM is just too sad to watch :(

Re: Meri Jaan on Hum TV

anything interesting happened so far? I haven't watched the last couple of episodes

Re: Meri Jaan on Hum TV

Oooh some very interesting things. If you like the Humayun-Nadia pair you better watch the last couple of episodes.
But the story remains as baseless and non sensical as ever.

Re: Meri Jaan on Hum TV

thanks Hira!
lol I guess I shall fwd thru it :)

Re: Meri Jaan on Hum TV

its actually kinda fun to watch now, especially after watching something as depressing and emotionally draining as 'mzzbn', this is the perfect anecdote. i love deepak perwani's role, he is looking very cute with ZQ. i wait for it to be uploaded on youtube and then skip through the dragging/boring parts.

Re: Meri Jaan on Hum TV

^ you are so right about skipping or fast fwd the boring parts. i am so addicted to recording my drama/show that i can just not watch if it is coming on tv and i can't fwd it.

Re: Meri Jaan on Hum TV

... i actually noticed that some dramas seems much more interesting once you skip through the boring parts and only watch the interesting stuff.

i have actually seen 78 episode soap online in a two day weekend and actually enjoyed it through the fast fwd/skipping method :D

Re: Meri Jaan on Hum TV

^^ SAME HERE! I have to forward thru movies and quite a few dramas as well. I cannot sit thru things w/out using the FWD button. It is very rare!!

coming to the play - I fwd thru the Deepak/ZQ scenes and alot of other stuff too.
Humayun and Nadia look really adorable together. I just hate hate hate the fact that they are being so so so wasted in this pointless story! aaaaaaahhhhhh!! I really wanted to scream at certain points while trying to watch the last 2 episodes. But their love story is so sweet. No guy would ever buy peaches from a defence store for a girl when he doesn't have any money :p Ah such a fantasy story!

Re: Meri Jaan on Hum TV

oh myyyyy!!! im in love with this drama... well just the humayun nadia scenes lol. this episode was amazing but next seems to be really heartbreaking :( poor humayun

Re: Meri Jaan on Hum TV

^ I know eh!

I actually watched the heartbreak. Damn- was very stingy of Aaliyaana.
Anyways OMG I loved the initial scenes though!! Aaliyana was so darn happy :p I loved how she gifts "herself" to Azfan Diar albeit I couldn't read the note. Did anyone manage to catch it? It was my favorite scene of the entire serial <3 The gleam in her eyes...and the scene where she's sitting in the car going over to Azfan Diar's house <3 Blissful <3 And thank god they changed the BG tune in that scene! Loved it! Gosh...

But obviously, I don't even get why Aaliyana is angst ridden in the first place and feels 'cheated'. So what if Azfan Diar DID murder the crap out of Ashar? He didn't ofcourse but what IF he did? She should be glad for crying out loud. Hmpf. She's goign to regret it bad.

OMG same lol! Their scenes are a load of crap.

I know! The only reason I watch the serial is because of the darn Hmayun nadia chemistry. It's such a simple love story <3 I mean Azfan Diar is mad about the girl yet kept his feelings tucked away for 10 whole years and yet he's there at her guard. sigh
Did you watch yesterdays episode (the 11th one I believe)? Apart from the latter heartbreak, the H-N chemistry is splendid!! <3

Re: Meri Jaan on Hum TV

i haven't been watching it but does nadia jamil like humayun saeed yet?
i think i might forward through the drama myself, it is funner to watch it that way.

Yes she did start to like him but unfortunately their little love tale, before taking on a full form, succumbed to misunderstandings and the likes.

Stoopid Aaliyaana.

Re: Meri Jaan on Hum TV

OMG ! the last episode is jst fabulous and marvelous. so wonderfully they complete the story nd solve out the riddle of ashar's murder ...i jst can't help saying its one of the best serials of Hum Tv.
the most important thing abt it which makes it great is that its story is TO THE POINT.not like other dramas in which they jst drag the stories so increase the numbr of episodes.but here the writer have done a very gud job. This shows how apt and a keen a writer is.
HATS OFF to "MERI JAAN".

Re: Meri Jaan on Hum TV

Erm yeah. Actually the last episode has to be the best amongst all story and direction wise.
I loved the last scene and infact each and every Nadia-Humayun scene but I really couldn't digest the storyline- it had too many flaws and loopholes in my opinion. Aaliyana's character was awfully under explored; the girl was constantly contradicting herself. I still don't get what was the fued about with Azfan Diar in the first place? Why the hell did he "break" her trust? Why did she want him to prove his innocence? And when all evidences were in his favor, why did she still want to distance herself?

Then there was Riya's (or Diya?) character. I felt it was, I don't know, somehow not well connected. Although I have to say E****a did a good job in the last episode.

Something was amiss with this serial. Maybe it was genre. I also felt it was a bit too rushed. 13 episodes. Not something you'd expect from Babar Javed. There should have been more AzfanDiar-Aali interactions to better enhance the plot, more insights into AzfanDiar's life, the peripheral love stories i.e between the detectives etc shoul have been scratched out, Aaliyana's character needed more justification, and the the whole murder plot/the devious scheme and how it was laid out coudl have been better presented. Elaborating the last point, I also am clueless why there were 'two shots fired' as reported by the investigators during the murder. This point was completely ignored.

So yeah basically little flaws that add up big.

But I was in awe of the Nadia-Humayun Chemistry. These two are adorable together. And thank god Humayun trimmed and shaved in the last scene. Some of his scenes show him in such umkepmt appearance which was just not pleasant.
All in all, I watched the serial only for those two as I always say. The rest was a load of crap.

And OMG Samira Faizal as well as Babar Javed and the production house need a reality check and learn the consequences of plagiarism. I mean seriously most of the scenes were like lifted directly off the novel inlcuding the dialogues. So disgraceful esp when due credit is not given.

Re: Meri Jaan on Hum TV

the last two episodes were so pathetic that I haven't brought myself to watch the last episode.
Gosh what was that dubbing of someone else's voice in place of Humayun when he's riding in the car with ZQ.

I think I'll forward through the last episode when I have nothing else to do.
Such a waste of talent drama. ARGH!
