You beat me on putting up this nostalgic number from the movie EID MUBARAK which ahd; Waheed Murad, Zeba, Habib, Seema, Rukhsana, Iqbal Yusuf, Faizee, Agha Jan, Nirala and others. The movie was wholly shot in Karachi and incidently the famous INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR at Karachi…right where now stands the huge Exhibition Centre at Gulshan-e-Iqbal roundabout opp: Hasan Square…the entire cast went to shoot the famous song.. LUMPUK JHAMPUK SHAMPUK SHOO..where they also showed Rukhsana falling off the Giant Wheel and breaking her leg..just about a few days earlier to her marraige (movie marraige!).
I saw that shooting as well as of this scene shooting at Cantt. Railway Station, Karachi on that Sunday of probably 1963-64.
The artiste in sherwani is ADEEB who died some years back…the survivor of this nostalgic song…is only ZEBA.
