Re: We are all Danes now, Check this editorial
a) The article is incorrect. Hindus do "impose" their beliefs on others, and others gladly comply. Where my mother grew up, NO one ate beef as it was known to upset the Hindus. No one beat their chest, or went on about rights and what not...they respected each other and ate other meats. It all worked out fine. If things are changing, it's not because Muslims are demanding it...it's just that irreligious Hindus are trying to make a point. That has nothing to do with us...and as far as I'm concerned, we should still bend over backwards not to incite on very sensitive issues.
b) We're not imposing our beliefs, it is you. You are in essence telling us that our anger is unjustified and that we have to live with YOUR expression. The comparison between respect for the Prophet (pbuh) and freedom of expression is stupid. I can respect your beliefs, and do, without stepping on them. Is there no other way to exercise freedom of expression other than to tolerate, and endorse racist depictions of an archetype who insult at a personal level people who don't even know where America, or any other Western nation, is?
