Meanwhile, Jyllands-Posten, the Danish paper that first published the cartoons, on Friday announced that it has sent its cultural editor, Flemming Rose, on vacation, following confusion over a possible joint Danish-Iranian publication of caricatures about the Holocaust.
Earlier this week, Mr Rose told CNN that his paper was considering siding with an Iranian newspaper’s move to publish “funny caricatures” picturing the extermination of Jews during Word War II.
Jyllands-Posten’s leadership immediately denied considering such plans.
“Flemming Rose has admitted his mistake, and it should be taken into account that over the four past months he has been under inhumanly hard pressure, besieged by Danish as well as international media most of the day,” Jyllands-Posten announced on Monday.
This Danish paper has no problem with mocking Islam, but then the man at the paper who chose to mock Islam tried to mock the Holocaust to prove his even-handedness he was sent on leave.
This pretty much proves the racism that drive that particular paper.

It's one thing if the danes didn't know it's disrespectful to illustrate
orthodox islamic historical figures. But the height of ignorance, that
even after learning that they refused to remove or apologize for the
disrespect. If they had apologized and said, 'hey we didn't know,"
that would have been the end of it. Khallas. I have seen the cartoons
and there's no doubt in my mind that the idea was to directly
insult sacred figures of the
Islamic world. I'm not an advocate of killing and blood spilling or anything
like burning which hurts one's own economy and land more than anything
else. Education is freedom. And sometimes revenge is best served
cold. The better way to go would have been for all the Muslim countries,
specially those like Syria, Iran and Lebanon to give the Danish govt./
diplomats less than 24 hours to pack up their bags and leave.
Followed by a ban of all products danish being sold in Muslim countries
all over the world.
And muslims living outside of Muslim countries ban the usage of anything
danish. Ask the danish embassies to pack up their bags and leave from
the Muslim countries without any harm. See how long Denmark survives as
a loner with an imposed embargo from Muslim states and Muslims. I know
for sure
that as this story is moving more to light, more and more Muslims in
US are stopping the consumption of the danish butter cookies. Eventhough
many of them are made in US nowadays, skip buying them too.
Don't even promote
anything danish (even if it may only be in name). Now they have
become stupid danish poopies. For now let's see how long Arla
stays in business, after having been taken off of Saudian shelves.
Being the biggest agricultural state in North Europe, Denmark has
one stupid ass mistake that is going to cost their economy the
consequence of a lifetime.
