But you don't see Iranian embassies in Europe in flames.

Re: Denmak in a sorry state
People believe a lot of things. It’s not my responsbility to make them believe anything they don’t want to.
Economic power is the key for Muslims. That is what I believe.
Re: Denmak in a sorry state
We don’t need one state, right now one voice would be an accomplishment. Baby steps.
Re: Iran's Khamenei: The Danish Cartoons Are a Zionist Plot
^ so...?
Re: Iran's Khamenei: The Danish Cartoons Are a Zionist Plot
Ma Mooli, do you have a friend called Pher pyaaz?
Re: Iran's Khamenei: The Danish Cartoons Are a Zionist Plot
You see Muslims leaders blaming everything on the Jews. Most of the time, as in this case, they are contra-indicated by the facts. Facts, are however, it seems, of little concern to the Muslim population at large. They just want to pillage bcause someone drew a nasty picture of the prophet. Forget that people are killing in his name all the time and there are no protests for that. To directly address your point. A picture is drawn in Europe, where they hold free speech more dear than Muslims' insult over their prophet. You claim the "West" is controlled by the Jews and saying anything against the Jews is illegal, sort of like blasphemy is illegal in the Muslims world. What I am saying is that, when Iran publishes the Jewish cartoon...you will not see Europe and The Jews reciprocate the violence of the Muslims.
Re: Iran's Khamenei: The Danish Cartoons Are a Zionist Plot
So?
Whats your point?
We have our methods.
Danish Freedom Of Speech??
"In Copenhagen, Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen showed no sign of diverting from his government's stance that it cannot apologize for the actions of an independent newspaper, as demanded by governments in several Muslim nations. "
How can a Blasphemous guy be the president of Independent country???Muslim countries & OIC should summon UN to pressurise Danish parliament to kick this AH out or to apologize to the muslim world....
Re: Danish Freedom Of Speech??
Muslims do not get to make rules for Sovereign countries. Would you like it if Christians mandated that all Muslims should eat port and drink alcohol daily?
Re: Danish Freedom Of Speech??
^Your post is as bizarre as anything can be....first they/you make mockery of islam & prophet of islam...declared prophet of islam as (nauzubillah) terrorist....& now you are talking about eating pork & drinking alcohol....i pitty you & your understandings of islam..
Re: Danish Freedom Of Speech??
I pity your understanding that all humans are equal. You have no business telling the Danes how to run their country and imposing Islamic rules on a country that is 90% Christian! You would not like Christian rules impose upon Pakistan.
Why do you think you are so important that you get to dictate rules to the Danes?
Re: Danish Freedom Of Speech??
Was iraq not a sovereign state, or do you just go along and make rules as you see fit.
Re: Danish Freedom Of Speech??
og: perhaps you could answer your question by telling us why americans/westerners are desperate to occupy and impose their values on foriegn countries?
Re: Danish Freedom Of Speech??
Yes this is the name of the game here...it is a "planned" defamation of islam & muslim countries...west must realise this now that islam is not some ideology like that of communism that can "succumb" to "tactics like these"...
Re: Iran's Khamenei: The Danish Cartoons Are a Zionist Plot
It's just that we are a surprised that your reaction to the response of the cartoons is a shrug of the shoulders, a lackadaisical "So?" or "And?". Is this the message of Islam?
Re: Iran’s Khamenei: The Danish Cartoons Are a Zionist Plot
and so the plot thickens…
US weighs in on the conflict and surprise surprise (not!) its now a iranian-syrian plot to fuel anti-western sentiment.
Re: Danish Freedom Of Speech??
Ma, in the past Moderators did not derail threads, they kept them on topic.
For the purposes of this discussion let us confine ourselves to "Times of Peace" as opposed to war.
Now, did the Danes pose a "danger" to Islam, or to Muslims? They insulted you. As far as I know over the history of mankind, one man has always insulted another. The cartoons mocked Islam and broke your rules aginst Blasphemy. Did the insult provide permanent damage to your religion? Is islam that frail?
No, what has happened here is programed cultural outrage. You fuss and fume because you think it is the right thing to do. You rant because you have been conditioned to rant. We experienced the same thing when there were allegations that some US soldier had urinated on a Quran. The Arab Street went nuts in feigned displays of howling pain, designed to show the power of Islamic ferocity. Whoopee.
Then we have "Muslim" youth rioting in France. And now riots over cartoons. Do you expect the world to shudder at your power because you can produce good Al-Jazeera footage? Already there are people wondering what the hell you think you can accomplish. Here is what one Franch editor said when he reprinted the cartoons:
"When extremists extract concessions from democracies on points of principle, either by blackmail or terror, democracies do not have long left," Charlie Hebdo editor Philippe Val wrote.
In other words a few clear thinkers are not assuming the politically correct posture of appeasement when riots hit the street. If you want to burn down every embassy in Syria, fine. Iran too. If they kill people, frankly it's thier own damn fault, and it will certainly be Muslims not Christians. The business with the EU is far more valuable to Iran or Syria than it is to the EU.
The Danes are not going to back down. That is their right. I do not approve of publishing the cartoons, but I do respect thier right to print the cartoon, even if it means insulting your guys...
Re: Danish Freedom Of Speech??
As to defamation and causes, aren't Muslims wondering why it is that Ahmed Abu Laban used cartoons that were not published in his "request" to the Islamic world? Or why he faked pictures from an AP article about a hog calling contest? Why is it that some Muslims cleric lied to inflame Muslim anger even more?
Maybe that does not matter.
The only things Muslims have "succumb" to is the Western stereotype of them.
Now here is a question. These cartoons are making global headlines. Should the rest of the world, in context of what has gotten Muslims so angry, see what caused this? Are the cartoons news? If they are should they be printed?
