Exactly that’s what I think too . Just because he is deaf they are showing it doesn’t matter about his feelings - its okay to turn him down / upset him because he’s used to it. Seriously messed up, though initially I thought this drama would have a strong message along the lines of some people are different ; we should appreciate that and it doesn’t have to be a bad thing. it’s no barrier to true love … 
actually I think they really really should have given a positive message out of it given the take to the disabled in Pakistani culture. Could have been a step forward …
