Re: Merey Aziz Hum'watno... — PM to address the nation tomorrow

I think this is a good step, during the past five years the country went through different crisises but no one thought about bringing the challenges in the knowledge of the ordinary person.

Address would be something like this:*

Meray aziz ham watno, awam ko qurbani deni hogi. Meiney aur meray nikkay bhira nay kasaayon ka kaam shuroo kar diya hai. Is saal Eid Ul Azha pe aap apni qurbani denay hamaray paas pesh hon.

Re: Merey Aziz Hum'watno... — PM to address the nation tomorrow

It seems as If there's no address as such, he would take the nation into confidence regarding the power crisis and increase in electricity bills (due to phasing out of subsidy).

Re: Merey Aziz Hum'watno... — PM to address the nation tomorrow

so there will be no address by Tair-e-Lahori ?

Re: Merey Aziz Hum'watno... — PM to address the nation tomorrow

^ unbelievable

Re: Merey Aziz Hum’watno… — PM to address the nation tomorrow

Someone should grab the PM from his neck and tell him: Sher ban sher :cb:

Coincidently perhaps, Jang Group announced results of a survey two days ago which showed over 50% respondents gladly accepting 30% increase in electricity charges for ending load shedding.

I hope it wasn’t a paid survey.

Re: Merey Aziz Hum’watno… — PM to address the nation tomorrow

The day load shedding ends, the bills (even if there is zero increase in tariff) would become unbearable for the people as there have been multiple increases during the past 5 years. People dont feel much (at the moment) as they are without power for almost half the day.

Re: Merey Aziz Hum'watno... — PM to address the nation tomorrow

They are clearly going for the shortcut which is about increasing the tariff for paying circular debt which will resurface every month. I still haven't seen the blueprint of how the government is going to solve the monster issue which sank the PPP government as one of the major snags.

Re: Merey Aziz Hum'watno... — PM to address the nation tomorrow

I think this government would sink under high inflation (due to power rate hikes). ;) Believe you me people can bear power outages but paying 14 Rs per unit would drain all their salaries in paying electricity bills.
