mercy killing is where one person is killed since that person has a disease or illness which has no cure and is giving that person immense pain. so to free that person from that pain they are killed before they are actually meant to die.
if it is allowed in islam then are there any rulings to it like it can only be performed if the person gives their consent…since it is performed voluntarily (victim’s consent is taken) or non-voluntarily (the consent isnot taken and the are just killed).
and if mercy killing is not allowed in islam because god is meant to give and take lives. so what if their is a situation like a hospital which has limited resources and this person is diagnosed with some serious illness and is only about to live for a month plus he is on a life support machine. another patient comes who urgently needs the life support machine and the hospital has one so would it be ok to end the first person’s life (he only has a month or so to live) so that the other person’s life can be saved?

thanks in advance
It is not allowed at any cost it is the sin which will be not forgiven ever by ALLAH
Though I think we should have some leeway in case of extreme circumstances - e.g. would you keep a person on life support e.g. on a heart pump or a ventilator (for someone with irreparable lungs)?
And some cases where cancer has progressed to the final stage and its only a matter of days...
**Euthanasia is forbidden in Islam as it is tantamount to murder for the the physician/medical personnel who assisted the act and considered suicide by the person who asked for it ! And both murder or suicide are forbidden in Islam !
Life is sacred and belongs to Allah and only he ordains the moment of death .
*****The following Quranic verses confirm without a shadow of a doubt that homicide is forbidden absolutely, as Allah Almighty says:
*'And take not life, which Allah has made sacred, except by way of justice and law.' (VI: 151) *
.....and also :
***'Because of that We ordained for the Children of Israel that if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder or for spreading mischief in the land—it would be as if he killed all mankind.' (V: 32)...

Yes this incident proves the mercy killing is haram in Islam
mercy killing is where one person is killed since that person has a disease or illness which has no cure and is giving that person immense pain. so to free that person from that pain they are killed before they are actually meant to die.
in addition to the above question ...
How about if that person has such a disease that could spread easily and kill others? Can we kill that person then?
How about an abortion where mom's life is in danger if we let the pregnancy continue?
and if mercy killing is not allowed in islam because god is meant to give and take lives. so what if their is a situation like a hospital which has limited resources and this person is diagnosed with some serious illness and is only about to live for a month plus he is on a life support machine. another patient comes who urgently needs the life support machine and the hospital has one so would it be ok to end the first person's life (he only has a month or so to live) so that the other person's life can be saved?
If a person can talk and he ask for it than it will be both suicide plus murder
no no i wasnot talking about that. i meant one person's life has to be ended to save anothe person's life eg the use of life support machine. like person A is in hospital on life support machine - he is on his last stages of illness (the hosp has limited resources). another person B comes in who urgently needs the life support machine other wise his life will be in danger. so would it ok to end the life of person A so that person B van be saved.
If the person is on support machine than I think that should be ended because I don't know if someone correct me that when a person is on machine he is considered dead mentally so their is no use of machines I think
