Meray Khuda mujhay itna to mo'tabir kar day

Hi guys,
This is the first time I am posting some thing at Gupshup, but I have been visting this forum for poetry very regularly. I hope you would like this first contribution of mine. I am just keeping my fingers crossed.

Meray Khuda mujhay itna to mo’tabir kar day
Maen jis makaan main rehta hoon us ko ghar kar day

Yeh roshnee kay ta’aqqub main bhagta hooa din
Jo thak gaya hai to ab is ko mukhtasar kar day

Maen zindagi kee duaa mangnay laga hoon bohot
Jo ho sakay to duaaon ko bay asar kar day

Sitara-e-sehree doobnay ko aya hai
Zara koi meray sooraj ko bakhabar kar day

Meree zameen, mera aakhree havalah hai
So maen rahoon na rahoon is ko barvar kar day

Maen apnay khwab say kat kar jeeyoon to meray Khuda
Ujaar day meree mittee ko darbadar kar day

Once i was sitting with this very religious bibi jaan. She goes "nia beta Khuda sey mangana hai tu kuch asa mango key us ki shaan mein gustaki na kar do 'khudanakwasta'"

Thanks to all of you who liked my first contribution and welcomed me on board.
And Nia! thanks for the thought u shared..frankly speaking..I really don't know how to defend that. I guess all I could say is probably thats how the poet felt best to express his feelings. Any ways..I cudn't agree more with this Bibi Jaan of yours. :)
