Since our guests are almost all desi, we are having the typical desi items, InshaAllah.

Since I have compromised with my parents on venue the menu is going to be my selection. I am thinking over it but it is not easy.
In desserts, I will prefer qulfi n ice-creams plus something like kheer or shahitukray etc.

you can have chicken karahi, pulao or some other sort of chawal, tons of different kinds of salads, roast chicken/mutton

Pulao and zarda, roast like tikka or a some sort of kabab, salad, raita, salan---karahi or korma with naan... yum so when are you getting married? are we invited? :D

starters; keebobs sambosas, pakoras
fried chicken, grilled chicken, grilled fish
rice i.e. biryani .. any variety. lahori karahi meat and chiken . vegies and tandoor roti and tandoori partha.
gajrela . sweet rice . and for the maulwis ... a special spadeful of Halwa.
i will not accept no less than £49.99 ...
so whos coming to my wedding ....................

Appetizers : samosas or chicken patties (puff pastry kind)
Entrees: Some sort of karahi, biryani
Grill items: some sort of kababs, tikkas etc
Veg: A veggie dish, chanay etc
Dessert: traditional stuff like gajar halwa etc. I think on my wedding we had gulab jamun but i am not sure, cant remember. On the valima, we had gajar halwa and ofcourse the wedding cake.
Usually the caterers give you choices to choose from each cateogary.
