Re: Menu Help

too much meat and not enough vegetables... and they're going to eat haleem on friday AND sunday? maybe try a pasta dish..

Yeah, I was thinking the same. Too many meat dishes. Have some daal, vegetables, instead parathay, have pasta with stirfry or something...

If I were you, I'd have 1 meat, 1 vegi, 1 rice or pasta and/or roti, salad, riata.

Oh and for meetha, you don't need custard, kheer kind of meetha everyday. I know if you have some left from the previous day you can put that on the table but maybe have a dish of fruits with it on one day (maybe when you are repeating the custard.)

Oh in breakfast, oneday you can g for a full fledge desi breakfast, next day maybe go with something light like french toasts or pancakes, or eggs + toast, jam, and butter...

Thanks for sharing ideas, I like veges idea, make vegetable jalfrezi and pasta salad.

Actually they will have to drive 5 hrs on sunday back to their home, thats why I want to serve heavy nashta if they will not stay for lunch.

Drop the koftay on the second day! How about dum ka keema or nihari? I'd do spanish omelettes the next day!

Re: Menu Help

Aunty jee hamaray liye itna hi Qafi hai..main aur saieen aa rahay hain :chai:

I think alot of these items are repeating and too much/unnecessary...
The Friday menu is fine.
For saturday's breakfast you can have PooriyaN and cholay or aloo salan with firni. For dinner i'd get rid of parathas totally and either make seekh kabab or chicken tandoori...not both.. and for dessert, have cake or regular ice cream/sundaes.
And then for Sunday, i'd make it an american style, with eggs/omelette, toast, and pancakes/waffles/french toast and fresh fruits... And for lunch, u can pretty much serve leftovers from Saturday night, with fresh raita/nan/salad and dessert..

Re: Menu Help

So kya kiya????

They will come on 2nd week of July, lets see ??

Re: Menu Help

Wow, I like your menu...Maybe I can steal some of your ideas. :D My guests are arriving on July 2nd too. Let's see how the whole thing goes...:)

Instead of having firrni for saturday and sunday breakfast i would add halwa for saturday breakfast and that will complete the whole halwa puri nasta
