ok so i’m having over about 6 or 7 ladies (1 child) for lunch in a few days. Since its lunch I don’t wanna make it too heavy or overdo it but I still want it to be good.
What’s missing in the following menu?
haleem
chicken korma
vegetable rice (or should i make biryani or chinese rice instead?)
salad with fruit n nuts
dessert: kheer or fruity trifle??
all advice appreciated! keep in mind, this is all ladies so they’re more of quality over quantity type guests
idk..2 salans seems heavy....replace one salan with one appetizer like kababs or chicken tikkas etc?
Veggie rice is fine..or wat about plain pulao/mattar pulao? biryani would be too heavy and chinese rice doesnt seem to "go"w tih korma.
and dont forget raita.
Also..maybe im being picky...but salad with fruit is so weird...how abt 1 veggie salad, and 1 fruit salad for dessert? Kheer is good too.
Either consider what Sara suggested … or you can also consider making masala biryani ( no chicken or mutton , just plain biryani rice ), chicken korma and koftay maybe … they can enjoy rice with either of the two salans…
Or if you wish to keep haleem, then keep haleem and korma , perhaps kabab and serve it with naan .. no rice …
^ CB, can I ask how do you go about making plain biryani rice? Do you make the masala and leave out the meat and add the rice? Quite confused, but sounds nice!
