I want to have 4-5 savory items, plus I am making tiramisu cake(from foodilicious on FB) and one more desert, most ikely kiamati. Please help me with 3-4 savoury dishes that I can make ahead of time. Please

I am thinking to make

potato skins and server with sour cream, salsa
Stuffed mushrooms

Plus any organizational tips for a party like this would help as well.

The three savoury dishes you have are fine.

need atleast 2 more pleaseeee..

Re: menu for high tea, pleasse HELP!! my lovely guppans

maybe chicken and sweetcorn or cucumber sandwiches

Re: menu for high tea, pleasse HELP!! my lovely guppans

some type of finger sandwich like cucumber & arugala or watercress, or pinwheels...

like RV said, the 3 savory dishes you have already planned along with the desserts is plenty...just add a sandwich and you'll be set!

^ Finger sandwiches are great - another kind that's nice is smoked salmon with a seasoned dill cream cheese is great as well.

As for other savouries - you can make:

Desi options:

  • silver dollar size kebabs (potato, shammi or chapli)
  • aloo cutlets
  • bite-size samosas

Non-desi options:

  • mini patties (needs an oven though)
  • spring rolls
  • cheese and crackers trays

As for tips for organization, it depends on how many people you have coming over and how large your entertaining space is. Make sure to prepare everything beforehand, since the point of the tea is to socialize as much as to feed your guests.

You can make veggie or meat puffs from pastry sheets. Very simple once you make the filling. Here’s a veg recipe, but you can substitute the veggies with kheema or minced chicken
