Hey Guys,
I might be making baked fish this Thursday night. I need ideas on a complete menu.
The main item is the baked whole fish.
What goes well with baked fish?
Sides?
Dessert?
Nothing too complicated puleej!

Menu for Baked Fish
What is your flavor profile?
Like if I’m going for an Asian twist, I’d serve baby bok choy sautéed with mushrooms, and ginger and sticky white rice
For a continental/French inspired, I’d do rosemary roasted fingerling potatoes and a nice salad
If your using desi masalas, then a daal and mattar pulao would go great
For dessert, these days I prefer anything light with fresh fruit…maybe a simple strawberry shortcake, or a custard topped with fresh berries
Re: Menu for Baked Fish
Honestly, it wasn’t going to be desi but I might be using some tandoori masala to give it a kick.
I like the idea of roasted potatoes and salad actually.
I am looking for two sides, a salad and a dessert.
Re: Menu for Baked Fish
Masala + kachi machi > Oven = Paki pkai machi.
Re: Menu for Baked Fish
Anyone ever made fish with tomato pesto?
I am going to use dill, fennel seeds, mayo, tandoori masala, lemon and olive oil as my “marinade” for whole salmon.
Baking it covered in thinly sliced lemons.

Re: Menu for Baked Fish
Roasted vegetables… Very hearty, delicious, and healthy.
If you are using oilve oil, no need for mayo.
Re: Menu for Baked Fish
You make a good ratatouille, don’t you? I think you posted a recipe on this forum somewhere.
I didn’t think about that…will skip the mayo.

If you’re making a salad along with the 2 sides, you could go with the ratatouille in tart form
