a friend of mine who is saanwli and pretty conscious of it wouldn't let her hubby wear black on their wedding day because she thought since she was in red and darker than him, and he's really fair and in black, that he'd actually stand out more than she would! it was so ridiculous, it was actually funny.

Jodhpuri's on men also look nice. I got one for my fiance and it looks great especially b/c he doesnt like sherwani that much and wouldnt be wearing it again after the wedding. A jodhpuri is something he can wear again. My sharara is red with beige top and red dupatta, while his jodhpuri is beige with very light orange insider. It looks great and the contrast looks amazing. Now I m just concerned about my stage decor color so as to bring out our combination. Any suggestions are welcome.
do it in shades of ivory and champagne... nothing too dark. all ivory flowers, very little greenery, maybe some dark brown branches. primarily tan/gold/champagne for the seat you'll be sitting on. nice soft uplighting behind you guys for the pictures.
Hi.. What can guys wear on Barat other than a sherwani or a suit? something traditional ..I’ve surfed a few sites but can’t find anything good enough except for this one (something like a gown over a kurta) which is just a compromise..
I realllllllly dont like it when grooms wear these busy, colourful outfits with blues and oranges and swirls and swirls and kaam all over. I prefer a more elegant and sophisticated look, like cream or black, with tasteful minimal kaam along the neck and sleeves
i agree with midnight eyes cuz these colourful blues n swirls luk very nice but only in magazines..i dont think they'd luk as nice when wearing in real. i've never seen any1 wear these colourful dresses in real so i might be wrong. i'm too bored with black as well. so go for beige, creame, maybe maroon as well.

well i wasn't talking about exactly the same thing.. just the idea of an open gown over a kurta.. i dont like heavy coture for men as well.. kaam-wise it has to be bronze kaam on black dress..light and elegant..
Color etc. is not the issue...our dulha thinks sherwani wont suit him as he is a bit muscular so that's why I was looking for traditional options other than sherwani..
