hamwatno i have been looking for a suit for a while now but haven’t bought 1 yet. i have a important wedding coming up in august and i was just hoping to get a few tips from the gents’ on here.
what shall i look for in a designer suit, preferably a all season 1. i mean would a single or double breasted suit be adequate for a young person like me, stuff like that etc
Single breasted jacket with 3 buttons. Chose a dark colour like black or navy or a subtle pinstripe design. Buy two pair of trousers to one jacket as the trousers get more wear.
It doesn't necessarilly have to be a designer suit for it to look good, just make sure it fits you properly and the cut and fabric is the best you can afford. Avoid any suits that are machine washable!
Single breasted 8 button suit, with pants made from at least 5 yards of fabric and sporting at least 6 pleates.....Chose from bright purple, neon green, red, white, or turqoise....Don't forget the gators...and accessorise with gold jewelry, bracelet, 24 carrat chain, earings, a nice thick gold ring, et al......
Pay a lot for your suit. Don't be cheap when buying suits.
A suit distinguishes who you are. A first impression is very important, so if you have to spend that $1000, then do it. Just a little word for you in the business world.
Once you have the suit follow this rule.
Two button or three button. Never ever ever button the bottom button. Button the top button(s) when you're standing, and unbutton when you sit down. Four or more buttons are for pimps. I still love 2-button classic style.
