I can cook almost everything as far as I have Kokab’s Cook Book.. :hehe:

Satrangi Chicken is the most delicious dish I can make.. I posted the picture too in Cooking thread few weeks ago..

Reminds me of the biryani wala thread with the aalu vs no aalu debate. A fond memory, that one, for reasons besides potatoes.

I used to cook when i lived by myself. But since i got married, don’t cook but do wash dishes, vacuum and even clean washroom too. I would love to continue to cook..but according to my wife..i make mess in our kitchen and she gets irriated. So i refrain from cooking anything.

Tell me about it RV. I make a mess and don’t even realize i actually did make a mess. One of my recent observation of me making mess is:

While making paan sheesha at home for myself. I dip my hands into these yummy paan substance and use same hands to open kitchen cabinet.
Until i am litterally shown and point-out by wife this red color marks on handles..then i am like..“aaaitee, I’ll clean that mess”.

The men in my family aren’t on GS…at least I don’t think

  1. They don’t cook
  2. All 3 of them are nil panday (I really don’t know what this means. First thought came to mind was anday…eggs. But its got a P, so plural of panda, punjabified. Pandas are cute!) Oh wait..panday are dishes in punjabi, right? nil means zero? zero dishwashing skills?

However, 2 of the 3 are anal about how dishes are washed. They’ll wash dishes if they have to.

No cooking shooking but rest of the kitchen work just like…

My indian supervisor used to comment that Pakistani men are spoiled but then I would counter that have you met indian gujjus who make their wives work AND cook food for them at night.

I haven’t gotten into hardcore cooking but doing laundry and washing pots and pans is second nature to me.

time to qeema today…

The men in my family don’t cook. I think they tried and it didn’t work out too well so we don’t let them anymore.
My uncle tried making ketchup ghosht…yea and it wasn’t great.

I knew a guy that loved to cook and made all these fancy dishes. It was something he did cause he lived alone during his studies and developed an interest cause he didn’t want to eat out or packaged dinners all the time.

Tbh a guy that can cook/ take care of himself and sometimes treat me with a nice dinner is a turn-on!

Upuma, dosas, yegg curry, chick peasu, rajma, semiya paayasam

I can eat any thing I cook.
When it does not taste good I convince my self that in some country people must have a dish which would taste like what
I am eating. So that make eating my cooking very easy.

My husband Al-ḥamdu lillāh الحَمْد لله‎‎ does everything from cooking to doing dishes to cleaning bathroom and everything
