im new on here, skimmede thru a few threads found some uselful advice so have joined up too!
anyway my brother is gettin married (finally!!) lol.. and theres only 2 girls.. the rest r all lads.. and the 2 girls are me and 1 my cousins. so i needed some ideas for his mendhi entrance. the boys r holding the scarf thst he shall walk under and my parents walkin underneath with him. but me n my cusin sis need to be part of it as we r the only 2 girls etc.
so please guys help me out i’ll really appreciate it! im lost i cant think of anything!
why dont the 2 of you walk in front, and hold a really big mehndi tray. You can get a really big one, and decorate it really nicely, and each of you can hold one side of it.
I normally think, the less people under and around the dupatta, the better! The more people that to get under, the less likely you can see the groom, his outfit, the decor etc. The problem you have is when one person’s under, you get the next cousin joining in, then the auntie, then the dhaadi…then before you know it…the whole khaandaan is underneath!
Why don’t you and your cousin hold the two front corners of the dupatta, and get two of the guys to hold the back. Everybody else should remain seated!
Im also double minded about my sisters mehndi, do we do the whole khandaan under the scarf with dancing thing or do just us sisters and bro do it and keep it more minimalist?
It will be nice to have it lively but then its like you said misschievious, once you involve a few people the whole khaandaan is underneath the duputta.
I was considering a dholi but they seem expensave to hire here in the uk,unless anyone knows where i can hire one cheap?
saimab good idea! we have to put theyl and mendhi for rasm so perhaps a massive tray wid that theyl and mendhi would be good idea!
misschievious.. the four main boys r holding each corna of the scarf and mum n dad walkin with him undaneath the rest will b seated! if we hold the scarf the groom will hav to bend lol cus we cant reach that high up and the back of the scarf will b high so leavin that for boys!
marias! humsafar wedding services! try them for dholi?
Have either a really big mehndi/theyl tray or make two big ones and each of you can hold one. Walk either along side each other or one in front of the other…ahead of the dulha.
You can either make your entrance first, set the mehndi on either side of the stage and wait for the dulha to make his entrance OR simply walk in front of the procession while they bring the dulha in.
You can have a dhol wala between you and the dulha or in front of the entire procession.
Lots of ideas and I think two girls instead of 20 would actually look really cute!
Good luck with the wedding preps and congrats to your family!
