[INDENT=2]**Cyprus defence minister, army chief resign after naval base explosion
**
CYPRUS: Cyprus’ Defence Minister and the head of Cypriot army have resigned following a huge explosion on a military base this morning which killed 12 people.

The blast happened in a depot full of containers of munitions confiscated from an Iranian ship in 2009.

It is thought that all 98 containers of the arms – kept exposed in scorching temperatures – blew up.

Cypriot president Dimitris Christofias said the government was shocked by the event, calling it a “dark day” for the nation.

A further 62 people were injured in the explosion.

There was no word on the identity of those killed but all the victims were Cypriots.

Are they stupid, sentimental or men of honour who just coudn’t silence their conscience over their direct or indirect responsibilities related to what happened in their domain of professsion?

Re: Men of hounour!

Pakistan is cursed to be stuck with corrupt General's who feel no shame in failing the nation, failing at their jobs.

When Pak Army don't even say sorry for killing their own people in their thousands, why would they care about anything else?

Here people live to make money.
They can do this themselves if they get money.

and politicians......

I dont remember any incident in my whole life where any general or political leader/minister has resigned on any incident or scandal while its a normal practice in rest of the world even to some extent in India.

Sherry Rahman is one such exception.

Re: Men of hounour!

PPP's Raza Rabbani

Re: Men of hounour!

Javed Hashmi of PML N and Marvi Memon of PML Q
These all did well without any direct or indirect responsibility.

Re: Men of hounour!

Well this is Pakistan where no one took responsibility even after ghq, pns naval attack and American incursion into Pakistan on may 2.

Re: Men of hounour!

Agreed but to be fair you support a political party which is just as bad.

Point fingers only when you know no one can point them back at you!
