Men in Capris.

This 30 something came for juma prayer in Capris. Are Capris for men in fashion now a days or he was being stupid ?

Re: Men in Capris.

he was being stupid. Not for the masjid - maybe for bermuda shorts at the beach and in the summer

Re: Men in Capris.

If they are not sold in stores then where did he get this one ? :hmmm:

Re: Men in Capris.

There are capris for men int he market. But I would not call them capris. They are more like longer shorts with pockets.

I have seen very little traditional capri pants for men (straigh pants) around however have seen men wearing them in europe.

Re: Men in Capris.

yaar jummay kee namaz main tou logon ko taRnaa chor do

Re: Men in Capris.

Men are allowed to wear shorts below their knees and read namaz. Now at jumma in the masjid, :nahi: Besharam mard. Taubah. :chai:

Re: Men in Capris.

Juts no

Re: Men in Capris.

folks, please put away your ridiculous sexism :)

fact- it is not a baysharam item
fact- he is perfectly fine islamically

now if we do comparative hijab for men vs women and what ladies show up at eid prayers/jumma etc ..satar for men is from navel to knees, i suppose he was wearing a tshirt, and technically he could be wearing a tanktop and capris and be totally okay from a religious POV

ladies satar is well hijab and with only face hands and feet visible, and if we say well hijab as in had covering is debatable, thats all cool but modest clothing, now I have "keenly observed" ladies with tight clothes, low necklines, see through sleeves, short sleeves etc at eid prayers, but that seems to be cool with ppl. one poor dude shows up in capris and everyone starts having palpitations

so now let me bust out some edumacation for y'all mummy daddy baccha party

in countries around the world, men go to masjid wearing sarongs/lungi/tehmed etc many of which are mid calf, often of field workers, labourers etc but not in all cases, essentially same length as capri, even in the prophets time a tehmed which was mid calf was totally kosher.

Re: Men in Capris.

My point is not about satar for namaz. My point is he looked so ridiculous .

Re: Men in Capris.

Men capris are just ghayyy

Re: Men in Capris.

well said....but men in capriiiis look gay :(

Re: Men in Capris.

I agree, and women in capris look slutty :)

Re: Men in Capris.

islamically, man only need to cover body from belly button to knee.

if capris can do so then it is OK. :)

Re: Men in Capris.

Yes that is not the point of this thread.

Re: Men in Capris.

he may be running out of time and didnt want to late in Jumma Prayer.

it was not decent clothing if he had time.

Re: Men in Capris.

Who says people don't have palpitations over women who show up in those kind of clothes? I've read so many posts here over the years, criticizing women for dressing up so much for Eid namaz....as if it's a bad thing

That's mean!

Re: Men in Capris.

If he was short and fat, then the capris would be a no no.

Re: Men in Capris.

how short were the capris? if it were as high as his ankles, then he probably wearing it Sunnah style.

Re: Men in Capris.

exactly...if his capris ended right above the ankles..he's following the sunnah of not letting his garment fall below the ankles!so nothing to criticize about..alot of men wear their suits..and their pants are pulled up a bit above the ankles too.

Re: Men in Capris.

Both of you are such an Einstein k bhateejee/bhateejian , I know when a person is following sunnah or going with a fashion trends. :snooty: :@:
