given two options, we will pick what makes sense to us, as in my example..
men react very differently to blackmail and threats..
telling you chicas for your own benefits, what u can get with a smile and love, u can not even get a fraction of that by ultimatums and threats.
obviously I am talking about regular stuff, if its a major marital issue, then the sort yourself out or I leave may work..but apply very carefully, the dude may have had enough of nagging and would be like sure..sayonara
but why? if it were me I would be like okay, I will go watch my games at the pub with the lads now, see ya.
ultimatums have to match the situation, for something lame like take me for chinese or I am going to leave the house, I would be like, oh great very mature…bye, dont let the door hit you in the back. go tell the world u left because I did not take u for chinese..
Nope, that type of antics would just piss the dude off and expect a backlash. I would be like, fine I cant do what I was doing, but that does not mean u get your way..I will go do something else. had u talked to me rationally, maybe but if its war you want, war you will get, and dunya idher ki udher ho jaye, now I will not do what you wanted. period.
and men are not like this in just marital stuff, but other stuff as well.
yup instead of using logic, throw my stuff away and watch me do the same. or smoke on purpose
summary: use ultimatums rarely and magnitude has to be proiportional to situation at hand
be ready that the dude goes for what u did not want him to pick
dont start a war of action, cancelling subscriptions, hiding stuff, it will escalate it
and yeah dont put your mitts on the dude’s stuff. pulling the plug, hiding something type of things
you will not be a happy camper..
