Ever noticed this
How men ever so conviniently have the tendency to forget important dates such as bdays and anniversaries
while on the other hand us women remember all kinds of dates and have the tendency of celebrating stuff such as
our first kiss
or this is when we first met
or this is when he first proposed
or this is the first time the baby kicked
waghera waghera
chooti chooti si batain bhi we remember and celebrate while on the other hand mard hazraats dont
A common scenario
You are so happy bout the upcoming anniverary of when you first met
so the whole day is spent cooking a special dinner
decorating the place with scented candles and potpouri
choosing the right Cd.
buying that seducing number you have had in mind for a month
so the whole mood is set, candles are lit, you are showered and dressed and ready
waiting for him to come
you hear the car in the garage
the keys in the lock
the door opens
you are standing there with a seductive smile
while on the other hand the expression on the face is clueless
after a serious jog of memory
he blurts out
Oh i forgot …today is your bday …
As if:rolleyes
thats the time when all you wanna do is take a dagger and seriously hurt somebody
Kher with times, I have come to learn that maybe its in their genes to forget stuff
My father kept forgetting all the important dates
forget that, he even didnt know what classes his kids were…even though he was a very loving and caring dad
Faisal keeps forgetting dates too
umm so this time i am kinda dropping reminders and hints bout my coming bday and like taking him to the shoe shop and like pointing to this very very cool pair of shoes that i want
lets see what happens
Chalo asay hi sahi
I think there is some serious memory problem with men
or do they, jaan boojh kay forget dates so that they dont have to go present hunting?
Heck yeah Anchal.
My brothers…&my dad don’t recall my bday, or my mum’s, & neither my sister’s.
However, get this, they’ll recall my dad’s bday, & the other brother’s bday – all the guy’s in the family , but not the girls’!
How disgusting is that!
ahem Roman
please do shed some light on the 'a lot more then that' bit wink wink
Kohal ahaan isnt it so very annoying
My mums bday was always a very dreaded day
cause mummy forbid us to remind papa of her bday
so poor papa had no warning of the upcoming 'bartan throwing' encounter that would be waiting for him when he came home minus a load of presents
Kher if i would have stayed in med school and become a doctor shivers
I might have done some research bout this aspect of Men
i know shivers
btw just imagine if i had become a doc
and you had come to my clinic cause you twisted your ankle
I think instead of doing some marham pati, i would have tried to untwist it
Yeah alot of guys do forget things, but like Yasin i'm opposite, i always forget things, phone numbers, birthdays, formules... ummmmm anything to do with numbers, but on the other hand, pictures, faces, poems, storys...etc.......i never forget, maybe something to do with how our brain works, you know the whole left brain, right brain thing......i don't know.
Hey Anchal, actually it's not just dates you ladies are good at remembering. I think women have a natural knack for remembering every Small detail !. I mean don't even get me started on the hassle I get from the wife over mistakes I made years ago (even down to the exact time of the said mistake !)!.
And you're right, I can't speak for all the guys here, But yes I too am hopeless at remembering dates. I don't think we guys do it willingly... Must be some sort of genetic defect ;) .
The strange thing is, its ONLY with dates !.. I mean, ask a guy to name a film he saw during his childhood and who played the starring roles and he'll tell you without batting an eyelid.. ask him when he got married/engaged/first date, and he'll have this expression on his face as if you've just asked him how much the Earth weighs ! lol
arey kya karen aunty, dates ka funkshun humarey dimaagh main naheen hai ! ;)
chooti chooti baateN haiN na iss liye mard hazraat yaad nahiN rakhtay janab!!
koi barri baat lao, koi kam az kam 500 safhaat ki kitaab lao(like fonedictionary), koi pahaarr lao jissay hamm khod kar koi doodh ki nehar nikaalen, koi sehra lao jiss maiN din raat hamm tumhaara naam lai kar uss ki rait kay zarroN ko ginn daanleN, koi aasmaan lao, jiss kay sitaroN ko torr torr kar hamm uss ko khaali kar daiN!!
yeh kya bai, chooti chooti baateN yaad rakh kar pehlay hi itna chota sa dimagh hota hai uss ki Hard disc ko aur bhi under pressure kar daiN??
Kher, when I am with my wife, she gives me lotssa advance warnings for any important bday etc. But this year in July when I was in USA for four weeks, & guess what!
I called home to Pakistan one day and my wife said "I was hoping you'd call yesterday" and I said "Why, sub khairiyat thee"...and then FLASH! OH MY GOD!!! and immediately I said "Well, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU.....I tried and tried calling you yesterday but the phone didn't go through....blah blah blah"...Anyway the damage was done already and I really had to spend extra (tohfay waghera) to make up for the mistake :))
That was close...warna barri bay-izzati honee thee...
[quote] Fathers are the geniuses of the house because only a person as intelligent as we could fake such stupidity. Think about your father: He doesn't know where anything is. You ask him to do something, he messes it up and you mother send you: "Go down and see what your father's doing before he blows up the house." He's a genius at work because he doesn't want to do it, and he knows someone will be coming soon to stop him.
