well if I am not wrong then you’re looking for an E34 series 530i/540i?, they were made from 1989-1995 for the sedan and 1989-1996 for the station-wagon, well they’re great cars, very powerful and quite reliable but can be very frustrating when a thing or 2 need replacement and not to mention the cost of the part+the labour charges, if you are looking for the best bang for your buck, then I’d suggest you go for the 535i, its got a 3.5L Flat-6 cylinder engine, its fast and good on the fuel, the 530i is welll slow and underpowered and the 540i is one thirsty automobile, don’t expect anything over 14-15 mpg’s from it, and for that reason I think the 535i is the best choice out of the lot as to it has the same basic engine block as the E34 M5 which means its strong and can sustain alot of power, over all these cars are good for around 200,000 miles but I suggest you look for one that has less then 120,000 miles on it so it won’t give you much in the way of trouble for the next 50,000-6,0000 miles but beware the spare parts are gonna be hard to find and they’re gonna have a price tag from mar’s but in return you get those killer European muscular looks and the best driving experience among any other car in its class and price range, especially if you opt for the chunky 5 speed manual.
