PLEASE don't make him take any gifts, he will be ridiculed endlessly. I met up with my buddy after 17 years in NYC, he came from Riyaadh and I went from Rochester. Be brought gifts for Steff and Lila, nothing for me, which is EXACTLY how it should be. I took a little something for his mother because she used to tolerate me in her house all the time.
What IS acceptable is when you go out for dinner to pay for dinner. That's IT. NO SHIRTS, NO PENS, NO FLOWERS, NO TIES, NOTHING ELSE!!
