An Indian show was playing a song on tv over a week ago, it was always one of my favourites. i just can’t remember its name right now and i have been wracking my mind to no avail for a week Sorry for opening this silly thread. Just hoping someone here could give me its title, or just at least the name of the movie. i am sure several Guppies will recognize it instantly. If i remember correctly, it was a hit when the movie was released.
The song in the movie was sung by Madhuri Dixit, it’s a slow song. She’s wearing a chamkeela-type of sari (i think). Throughout the song, she is sitting at a piano. The movie is from the 1980s. In the movie, she’s singing this song for an audience. The stage is in a circle-shape. ummm and there’s a lot of this smoke-type stuff that’s billowing down onto the stage and upon her. i think one word in her song was ‘saajan’ - maybe that was in the title also? i think one of the main lines in the song was SOMEthing like - ‘ham hamesha tumse pyar kareingay saajan’.
That’s all i remember Sorry for opening this silly thread - my mind’s totally at a blank right now, can’t remember what this song was called.
Waisay Nadia
this (‘ham hamesha tumse pyar kareingay saajan’) is quite different from
this (“Bahut pyaar karte hain…tumko sanam…kasam chaahe le lo…khudaa ki kasam!”) No?
lolz! i was waaayy off :o
i think, when i wrote that (‘ham hamesha tumse pyar kareingay saajan’), i was making up in my mind what i thought the words of the song were. i had such a mind blank for a week with regards to this song - all i could picture was Madhuri Dixit sitting at a piano, with those smokey clouds wafting down on her. i totally replaced ‘sanam’ with ‘saajan’ and didn’t realize it:~/
Seems like old age is catching up with me - this memory loss is getting worse and worse :o
