Recently (within the last year), my memory seems to be getting so horrible with every passing day. It is getting to such an extent that is worrisome for me.
My boss asks updates of my work and I am blank. I’ve worked on it but I don’t remember a thing!
Some one reminds me of a recent happening & I don’t remember it. Blank!
Conversation at home & I am telling a story, the facts of the story are twisted since I don’t remember them either
Having a discussion on something important with someone, i don’t remember the important points.
Attending a meeting, am asked a question .. I don’t remember the answer even though I know it
Am supposed to go my tailor to drop of clothes, I remember to take 2 and I forget 2 others.
Am supposed to remind some one about something, I don’t remember it.
Having a serious issue with some one, I don’t remember the reason and the points that lead to the issue and I am unable to talk it out
I am supposed to get some tasks regarding the wedding done e.g. dye clothes, give them to tailor, print pictures, finalize something something .. what happens? I forget!
A friend is telling me a story of something I did back in college and I don’t even remember being involved in it AT ALL!
I’ve watched a movie .. either I remember its story or I remember its name and not both together.
I’ve always read up on many awareness topics be it poltiics/religion/history/geography/books/movies etc .. next time you ask me I just remember the name and not what it is about.
These are just a FEW examples. Trust me! It is getting to such a level that is upsetting me and I feel SO helpless since I want to remember something but I don’t.Sometimes, I even want to cry since I can’t remember things when I need to and I end up looking stupid since I don’t remember at all.
As per suggestions, I usually write things down and have started taking 7 almonds every day but it remains the same.
I need SERIOUS suggestions on how memory can be improved -
Hey D!..Why don't ya go to for professional help to see if you really have memory issues. Coz quiet honestly..whatever you mentioned it is normal. Also..rememba..ya're getting married as well so lot of things in your mind as well!. So don't sweat..but go for check up.
Daffy. You seem stressed and that could very well be the reason for this memory issue. It happens with all of us that when we might be doing one thing but our mind is on another thing and hence it causes such lapses.
I don't drink diet soda or any soda that much. Just 2-3 times a month.
Its at a worrisome level for me because I am finding myself dumbfounded in many situations and that just doesn't leave a good impression when you KNOW something but can't RECALL it.
Check any medications you might be taking if they have memory loss as side effects.
Do memory exercises.
For example think about any six to eight digits and try to repeat those numbers at the end of day or next day. You can remind yourself those numbers as many times you can in a day but atop at midnight for example and try to repeat in morning.
Other way is you read alphabets in your mind or numbers backward in you mind as fast and accurate as you can. Start from 10,000 go to zero to make it difficult.
Eat more almonds. Take a multivitamin. Also try to get more Omega 3. Start reading more, and try to do puzzles as well. Like crosswords, or sukudo (? the one with numbers - I dont remember what its called), or actual puzzles that have the pieces you have to put together.
well i'll say go n get ur hormones (cortisol level n thyroid), ur liver, pancreas and sugar level checked plus get ur electrolytes checked too.
Daily vitamin is good but once u get ur lab work done u might know which supplements to add. also if u trust holistic treament go to some naturopath where they do ur saliva test n they r most accurate than blood works.

First of all do not worry ,as its not an so serious problem ,hence be happy and relaxed
Remedy :::::::: wake up early and offer fazar namaz with out fail make it a practice ::::::::::
TO wake uo for fazar with out any laziness you should go to sleep as soon as you offer isha prayers and having very light food
do not waste time in browsing and watching tv ,as you tend to waste your energy and concentration and mind power that allah has given .so in one sentence ..have a very good sleep of say atlease about 08 hours :::::::::::::::::::::::::::
::::::::::::Drink plenty of water :::: do not gulp but keep on sipping now and then hence keep an water bottle sipper next to you :::::::::::::
Now always live in the present like thinking only the current going on things ..eg..
early morning you wake up ..say for youself that I have woke up ..then go do wazu and repaet telling for yourself that i am doing wazu ,same thing for namaz ..prayin namaz ..doing sajood goin in rukhu ,doing salaam ..completed the namaz , had break fast ,started my vehicle ,took my bag ,id ,money pen ,wearing shoes .kept my right foot outside .....etc etc etc
this way what ever you do in your daily life chores ..just make an practice to repeat the thing you do ....

DaffyDuck, you sound JUST like me. :| Have you had severe diet changes/weight loss etc? My dr suggested it's probably because of drastic changes in the diet/lifestyle, but I don't trust her opinion :O

i brought it up with my doctor and she said this is a normal part of aging.
she also said as long as you can remember 5 things to buy from the grocery store without a list, you are ok. and i should make lists/notes if i need to remember important things.
i'm not sure how i feel about her analysis. i think there is something more...alzheimers runs in my family. sigh.
i started taking iron supplements because my iron is low, and b12 supplements as well. i think it will be difficult to tell if it is working or not.
