Samina and Usman are quite liberal to pay attention on these kind of fatwas... I think they contacted proper scholars and these fatwas were proved wrong then.

Waheed Murad gave successful movies when he was paired against Zeba and Shabnam. While Zeba herself announced not to work against any hero except her husband Muhammad Ali, Shabnam’s husband Robin Gosh specifically asked his wife not to work in any movie against Wahid Murad.

One controversy I remember from PTV time is samina perzada 's real husband Usman perzada divorcing her on screen. Remember all kinds of statements from deen kay thaikaydars in papers...talaq hoo gai hai..ohh wait talaq nahn Hui...rinse and repeat.
Heard about tahira shyed nawaz sharif and redco in one of the family eid or some other dinner gathering.

His career was affected. In case of Shabnam, her husband was okay with Nadeem, Shahid pairing, but he was insecure about Wahid Murad as he somehow got flirt image.

There was also a tussle between Madam Noorjehan and actress Firdos. Firdos was involved with Madam’s then husband Aijaz which affected their marital life. At that time, Noorjehan voice and songs were considered a success factor for any movie. She refused to sing for any movie casting Firdos.

When Khwaja Khursheed Anwar (for whom Madam sung in movies like Koyal, Anarkali, Intezar) was selected as Music director for the movie Heer Ranjha (Heer = Firdos, Ranjha = Aijaz), he approached Madam to sung the songs for the movie and as expected she refused. Khwaja sahb then hired Mala to sing the songs. On the recording day, when Mala was just going to sing (record) first song, she saw Madam coming in the studio and she left her place for Madam. Then Madam sung such beautiful songs like (sun wanjhli di mithRi taan way) for her saut :bummer:

not totally firty image, as per my info waheed murad became very rude due to stardom so many actors/producers get united to sideline him and actresses stopped working with him was also a part of that.
