Memory boxes

I’m thinking of creating a box of memories for my little one. So far I have her tags from when she was born, as well as her cot tag. I’m ordering the newspaper (back order) for the date she was born. I’ve also got a scan photo to put in.

Has anyone else created one for their child and what did you put in it?

Re: Memory boxes

how about her first onesis? receiving blanket? first pair of socks, booties, etc?

my mom saved my very first dress n the doll and then after that it was just my school report cards! But it's always soo much fun to look at the things she kept for us from our childhood.. she even has my first school bag!!

I love the idea.. I will do something similar for our baby as well inshaAllah!

Re: Memory boxes

Aaaw how shweet my mother Allah bless her kept many of my childhood belongings.

She even handmade a portrait of me…

Re: Memory boxes

AWWW, i did the same..i put her scans, her first babyvest and slpsuit she has now outgrown, her tag, her pictures we have taken but not put in album, ermmm i wanted to put her hair, however i think hubby buried it somewhere...u can get her finger prints and palm imprinted..dunno where from, but have seen it....the newspaper thingy sounds good..might do that too....

Re: Memory boxes

ooo and i put all the congrats cards in there too..

Re: Memory boxes

How about the hair from her first shave? We still have Bunny's.

Hubby wanted to keep her umbilical cord. Luckily, we talked him out of that.

Re: Memory boxes

okkkkkkkkkkkkk ur husbands brave...my husband nearly fainted when the midwife told him to just look at it...

Re: Memory boxes

That's a brilliant idea. I did something similar. First lock of hair, first babygrow, scan photos, first spotters, first bday cards, cards received when they were born. Can't remember what else at the moment. But I would definitely recommend it

Re: Memory boxes

i tried to buy the newspaper but it cost over 40pounds..better to just go to the library and find it and photocopy 1st page, otherwise buy it..
