Memory boxes

since my kids have been born i have kept all their items such as hospital band, tag, first lock of hair, first photos, cards, first clothes, birthday cards etc and made a memory box for all my children

I am now thinking about and regretting not making a diary of their childhood…I am going to start putting one together for all my children now

Have any other parents done this and what else have you put into their memory boxes???

Re: Memory boxes

My mum has kept most of the things that you have already listed:) It is a very nice sentiment to look back on and have as a keepsake.

Maybe you could write some little notes about certain memories which stand out for you e.g. the first word they said, little funny stories of them etc.

You could give it to them on their 18th/21st birthday:)

Re: Memory boxes

my mom has saved alot of my stuff too:D

Re: Memory boxes

our mum saved alot of our stuff as well....but i think my memory boxes will turn into memory suitcases by the time they're 18/21

Re: Memory boxes

I have baby books for both of my daughters. I love documenting little snap shots of their life.

The best thing I just added was the "endearments" that the entire family has for them.

For instance my younger one had really round features and a roundest head - her daddi refered to her as "nukta" (a dot)
