Yup Niksik..will post it there soon! Speaking of sherbats..they now have Jam-e-shirin made with artificial sweetner!
I have the tika my mum wore on her wedding day, her father bought it for her, and i wore it on my wedding day too :).
me and hubby actually just got back from a month in pakistan, and i had a good rifle through my mum's trunk in our fmaily home there. i bought back a couple of things for her, and a little vase like ornament, in which people would put surma in, its really cute :). annd my hubby bought back some coins that his grandmother had in her collection and gave to him. we have no idea what currency they are or from what time period, but they look extremely extremely old lol.
Yesterday my husband showed his dad's old transistor radio to my daughter. He was telling her how when he was a kid he wanted to throw it out every night when his dad would turn it on to listen to BBC News! Now that same radio is a valuable treasure from his dad's life. It's still in great shape. We also have my mother in law's nani's paandaani and a copper ittar box. There are pretty ittar bottles, dry, of course, in there, all neatly lined up.
What do you have that is old and passed down?
Every household has something that is at least 20 yearsold. If it's not the items, its the parents htemselves.
