the house Dad had bought back where my grandparents lived was this old pre-partition haveli and i remember as a kid going there when dad hadn’t gotten it renovated n i went up to the third floor which was derelict but had this one room with all the walls painted …i think it must have been a pooja room maybe…
and it had those carved huge doors at the entrance …
much later i found out that the ppl who had been told to renovate it had white washed the room…i was soooooooooooooooooooo upset 
maybe this time when i got back i’m gonna look things up n find stuff from that era…
