First one:
I remember my student days . The bus will be jam packed , but these guys would do an amazing job of making sure that each every passenger get ticketed. They were always on the move from end to end also giving instructions to the driver as to where to stop and where not to stop and also about which bus is ahead of them or following them .
They will constantly tell the passengers “agay barho”
To the driver they will say “janay do ustad double hay”
I do not know what double hay meant in their jargon.
Share your memories of Karachi. I will share more later on.
aaah kia yaad dela deya. there is SO MUCH attached to Karachi/Pakistan. I still remember those pathan's chai/paratha, travelling on bus roof, standing-doing-nothing at empress market just ovserving colors of life ....aaah
Whenever I am visiting Pakistan, first thing I do is that first morning I wake up early (or normally just dont sleep due to jet lag) and go out walking just couple of hours of walk on streets and baazars from 6-8 rewinds my whole 24 years spend there. while on my way back home, I get Pathan's chai and Paratha. Everyone knows the drill now :0)
