My reading of the situation based on media reports is as follows: Ali Enterprises receives an extortion demand for 200 million rupees. Ali Enterprises complain to MQM. They are called to a meeting at MQM HQ. Then MQM removes the sector in charge, and appoints a new sector in charge. The new sector in charge of Baldia Town along with accomplices then sets fire to the factory. The doors to the factory are locked from outside. MQM minister registers an FIR against the factory owners, and only after he receives 150 millions from the factory owners is that FIR cancelled.

this is confusing part!!!
why would someone like MQM have to change its sector incharge and then new sector incharge put factory on fire?? burning, shooting and killing people is normal for MQM...

Possibility, but why they want a new sector incharge, they could have send the specialist anytime..
It was clear case with MQM written all over it, it is normal for MQM to burn shops not paying extortion money...things which goes in MQM favor,
It took JIT these many years to file its report!!!
The timing is very crucial
With MQM already on the receiving end the right time of this report should have been after senate elections, where MQM seems to be in no mood to negotiate with PPP... but now got handful seats which were not possible back then...
why all this fuss on this JIT, and that is typically from PTI, whereas the very party rejected JIT report on Faisalabad incident, yani meetha hup hup and kaRwa thoo thoo..
there are way to many questions on it...
with all this, the fire was because of owner's refusal to pay extortion money, to whom it is still questionable, because Lyari gang have their fair share in it... can you recall the firing incident of that market where dozens where shot dead by lyari gangs

Unfortunately supported by Zardari earlier now N$ is doing the same thing. I wonder had their dear and near ones died in that 254 people messacre, would they be still friendly to these monsters????
Why N$ is not handing over two killers to Scotland Yard???? As per IK target killer 'Saulat Mirza' who is on death row was a killer of VP of PTI during elections times. Why he can not be shifted temporary as witness against AH in IK case at London before being hanged by the balls at 90 Azizabad??????

Actually MQM issue is very sensitive , You can not deal with them like ordinary party . They can change Karachi and Hyderabad in a battle ground within hours so everyone should be very careful . Only fair elections are the only way to break their hold .

I agree, NS should have taken stiff stance against MQM, but i guess he knows ground realities, that is, then Zardari's PPP, PTI, PAT, PML-Q with the street power of MQM would be challenging them in the center, and NS is simply protecting its interest.
If you recall, from 2008-2010, many lotas were turned political orphan because neither PPP nor PML-N was ready to take them again and then come PTI and Media... and next we know all these lotas were warmly welcomed in PTI and PML-N and PPP had to change their strategy.
So NS's policy of tackling MQM through rangers is working, DG ISI who was DG Ranger and was heading the operation would be paying special attention.
Moreover, a friend just came back from Karachi and have told something i can't believe, he said, he had his mobile phone ( an expensiive one) out in the open and no one appeared to snatch it, Rangers have a helpline where one can call and most of time you can get your things back.
Nevertheless, Zardari's support have given a new lifeline to MQM
