I havent been to the food street in Islamabad yet. It is a shame really considering that I studied at ICB and spent a lot of time in Melody. There used to be an old book shop there, I have heard Siddiqui sahab, the owner, passed away a few years ago. Also the British council was in the same place where food street now is. Then the Agha Khani somosas and Ahmed and Dean Bakeries. This place looks different now.

Daagh, is Zenos still there?

yes it was suprisingly very clean except flies… but otherwise to it was a wonderful experience…

yup zenose is still there will the awesome food and the outdoor khula dhula mahool…

i really like their mahool and food, and there are some sweet memories related to that place, 10 yrs back when my family shifted from Rawalpindi to Islamabad ‘zenose’ was the first restaurant we visited. :slight_smile:

I remember the old book shop, bought many books from there and ofcourse british council … ah those days. I sometimes used to go there alone :eek: at that time it was quite a brave thing to do!

I went there in Decenber last year with my relatives and my 6 year old cousin was chasing me around the area. I had my video camera with me so was filming it all. Looking at the oictures brings back lots of memories.

haww how come I have never been to this food street thingy in Islamabad and not to mention miss naina wali never invited me for that either... naina jao main nahin bolti tum se, oh by the way I went to the food street in Lahore, it was great and yeah the best thing was the company, my husband :-D

Daagh: I know its pretty late but Congratz on your nikkah.. In fact I saw your wifey's mehndi pics once and had them on my presentation of Henna last week.. Everybody asked about the mehndi since it was done so beautiful :-)
