Alone
Forgotten and empty in a corner all alone,
Waiting for some one to call me their own.
Away from the world in the darkness I’m shunned,
While from my eyes tears fall looking for some one.
Everyone looks upon me and knows I’m there,
But no one stops to talk or show me they care.
They’ve seen me before and they look at me again,
But all they see is me neither my sorrow nor my pain.
I want to be loved and love in return,
But torn and empty my lonely heart yearns.
This heart grows colder day by day,
One day it'll turn to stone,
The pain will destroy all the love,
And only hate will have grown.
I project a lie with an empty smile,
and the world looks back and smiles for a while.
These empty eyes were once filled with joy,
like the eyes of a child with its favorite toy.
There was reason to smile and life was bliss,
now all distant memories that I painfully miss.
The end of this life seems to be near,
the final few days shall flow like my tears,
Before its too late and I’m cut down in my prime,
I’d like to know that I’m loved and be held for the very last time…
