Kill him and kill him yesterday but that is only part of the solution. There will be others to take his place.
The onyl way to defeat this ideology is to try and remove the injustices in society alongwith the armed offensive against the likes of Mehsud. People are attached to TTP for number of reasons (simply poverty, tribal frictions etc) and removing Mehsud will provide them an oppurtunity to give up if there was an economic initiative taken straightaway. This war was not ours , its is now and we have agreed to fight it for $ 9 per head per year.

well what made you think otherwise, its still an action of Indian / US /Israel agency/agencies. mehsud serving his masters very well, before it can be blamed formally to masters, he came out to defuse the situation that its no one else but a Pakistan tribal elements who carried out... yea true but who supplied them money and arms? specially logistics near to wagha border!

Even if Mehsud and his men are being supported by "foreign agencies", there is nothing at all that Pakistan could do to stop that support.
The only action that the government can take is to stamp out those receiving that "foreign support"; which is the exact same action as we would take if there was no foreign support.
So it doesn't matter. Mehsud and his men, and those who choose to support them in any way, be it by giving them shelter, giving them clothes, or cooking for them, must be wiped out. They are enemies of Pakistan, enemies of all Pakistanis, and enemies of Islam.
The army must be given carte blanche and a press blackout to do whatever it takes to pacify the areas he operates in.

^^ MAd you are right on this one, and Army is already working on it, many agencies are cleared now, he is holed up in south waziristan now. and Army is on the job, the only thing army is slow i guess cause of civillian population in the area, wiping him out along with others is alwasy an option with higher human cost.
Army /ISI has been trying to target kill him, without much success though.
Amour point is right as well, Mehsud saved his masters image by accepting about these attacks. so the masters dont even get bad publicity in anyway and also serve the purpose that militant controls pakistan and its not safe for nukes in days to come...
we will see more attacks on such methods. so we need to get act together and get rid of these bas$$$ds

I am pretty sure there is no one place where these people have group of homes.
They will be living among ordinary people. You kill them like this and they will become heroes for locals. They must be isolated before being killed. I am sure there will be collateral damage but the success of any operation depends on how low can this collateral damage is. It will be a big big mistake to go there and kill indiscriminately.

For 2 years we have not be able to do anything for parachinar which is under blockade from taliban. They have massacred in the most brutal way any shias who have tried to bring food and medical supplies to the turi tribe which is majority shia. They have to use helicopters or go through afghanistan to reach rest of pakistan, while others have become refugees in afghanistan.
