Quick question - are the mehndi’s split in terms of cost? Or is that the girl’s side responsibility as well? I was always under the impression if there is a combined mehndi its split cost wise.

It used to be the guy's side then predictably it got pushed onto the girl's side. I've seen both variations and more and more of split sharing but that's newer and girl's side are still doing it more. Best look into each other's families because all families are different but better yet form your own tradition.
