Re: Mehndi...

Lol I actually did go back and buy that outfit, I really liked it so I'm happy with the choice. Now just need to get some nice shoes and jewellery.

Dooooo it!!!!! Heck, I did, than you have to!!!! :D

Re: Mehndi...

I did the same as khatti, and I agree with her too - simple mehdni dress, no makeup, dupatta (no ghoonghat tho lol). Love the simple mehndi look on brides...but again, do whatever you think will make you feel beautiful :)

Re: Mehndi...

:D

I wore a royal blue and emerald combination and my outfit was pretty heavy all i wore was a round teeka and jhumkas and flowers in my hair and gajras and it was lovely! Everyone complimented that my outfit was different (usually everyones worn the greens yellow combo always in our family and pinks)

Mehndis nowadays are all about colour so just pick a combo and go for it! It sounds lovely!

Re: Mehndi...

It really is personal choice. Mine was olive green with cranberry accent. Compared to the decked out trend these days, I think I was a pretty simple Mehndi bride. My dress had a lot of intricate kaam, but it wasn't like pop-out / bold / in your face. My make-up was fairly basic / simple (did it myself), kind of like just enhancing the natural skin. That being said, although my dress was simple, the material and kaam were of the highest quality. I have worn it to other occasions several time now and it is still in original condition.
