Typical colors:
pale yellow, mango yellow, orange and henna or mehndi green…
So why do you think, yellow has been selected as the dominating color for a mehndi function

Yellow i guess ke 'Mayu' ke liyeh use hota hy not for mehndi.

Now a days brides are using black mehndi or chamki si mehndi to it looks pretty.

@name_105 woh yellow is liyeh pehanti hy for 1 or 2 weeks before arrival of Baraat ke woh us din cute lagy. B'coz 7 or 14 days yellow color mein dekh dekh kr sb pheeka pheeka sa lagta hy :)

because the mehndi itself iz green untill its dried .. mayb thas y they wear green n yellow .. n also the deco iz the same color ..

Yellow + no makeup so they’ll look “pale n kinda beemar” to have a drastic change for the baraat. Larki nikhar jayegi baraat pe

i think its because yellow is a refreshing colour.
plus i think on mehendi "gainde ke phool (marigold) and sooraj makhi ke phool (sunflower)" are used which are yellow in colour.
