Mehndi without groom's family?

Hey guys, new member here.
I’m getting married in December inshAllah. My fiance’s family or him won’t be able to make it to the mehndi as they’re coming out of town. Is this a big deal if their family is not there to do the rasams? Have you guys ever attended any mehndi’s with just either the bride or groom’s family?

yes dear its not a big deal... Many families specially those not living in same town celebrates mehndi desperately :)

We had a small mehndi before my nikkah and my inlaws weren't there because my husband flew in a few days earlier for our legal marriage and all that. His family/relatives/friends arrived one day before Nikkah, and we had a dholki that night. No biggie.

nah its not a big deal...mehndi is just a cultural thing and it isn't a must so if ur inlaws cant make it then thats ok..u guys can still have mehndi widout them and all the rasams.

not a big deal. my mehndi was a similar one too and i feel i wont have had enjoyed it as much as i did if my inlaws had been there too :D

Thanks that helps alot. I was kind of sad, because mehndi's are usually the best part, but hey I'll just enjoy it more now :)

in my family mehndis are generally just with the girls family and very homey and fun!

The boys family just send gifts which we oooh and ahh over afterwards!
