a cousin of mine is getting married soon and she has a couple of ideas for a mehndi. She basically wants to use a tent marquee thingy you know like the huge ones that you can decorate with flowers, curtains, light, multicoloured chairs and dance floor with strobe lighting etc etc (dont know what theyre called).
But since she’s the first to get married in our family no-one knows where we can get this from in the UK. so since she asked me to help and i dont know anything of the sort i though i’d ask anyone that knows here? so does anyone know anyone/where in the UK where we can get this and that too at a good price? mA they have a huge garden which is where she wants her mehndi to be held so size is not an issue.
or are there any other good ideas for a mehndi apart from a tent affair?
Where in the uk are you based? Theres loads of places that hire out marquees. I had one for £250 which included the marquee, tables and chairs but the decor is always extra, so i would look around. Some events planning companys can supply the marquees and decorate them for u also. If you can, and are able to u can do the decor yourself aswell, just depends what youre after.
my cousin doesn’t have a clear ideas as of yet but she does want it to be colourful and vibrant. She wants the decor to be bright yellows, pinks, greens, purples etc…

When i was originally planning to have my mehndi at home they wanted £500 to do the decor of the marquee this included the mehndi ‘stage’ cushions drapes etc in the end we opted for a hall due to numbers
Try searching Dream Moments they do alot of wedding decor they do travel i think but finding a local supplier may help.
If you want to do the decor yourself you could hire out a dholak or if you already have one, use that as a centre piece on the floor loads of scatter cushions in bright colors. Some lanterns everywhere, morrocan ones are popular at mehndis
You could get colorful drapes from abywhere and create a backdrop.
If your cousin has like a chaise lounger already you could drape that jazz it up
There are so many endless ideas on how you can do a DIY job its just gojng to need alot dedication and sourcing materials
