No, no, this is not yet another thread about dhol songs to sing at the mehndi but one to dance on. My cousin is getting married in two, yes two weeks!! And I need help finding a song to do a solo dance on. Someone else has reserved the song I had chosen but I need something modern and Pakistani. I don’t mind dancing to an Indian song but I thought since I have never done Paki I could try it. Come on, after all the event is called a “mehndi” and not sangeet as it will be full of us Pakis. I was thinking of a song that has a beautiful old time feel to it like the songs from the newer Umrao Jaan. No songs with English or rap. Can’t stand it. Thank youuuuuuu.

I am mostly good at old type of moves like the kind from Umrao Jaan. I hate new hip hop kind of moves which is why I anted to stick with a song that can be danced to classically.

shazia manzoor sang a few really good mehndi songs for the drama azhar ki aye gi barat, and the sequal drama's dolly ki aye gi barat and thakay ki aye gi barat!!!
youtube the names of the drama's and you will get songs and choreography, my personal fave is from thakay ki aye gi barat *ni ley dey maye kaliyan baghan di mehndi

Thanks for the help so far everyone. I looked up Chooriyan songs and umm, did not like them at all. I can't stand those kind of old Punjabi songs. I saw the drama Azhar/Dolly ki ayegi baraat and the songs were nice but not to dance to. Keep the suggestions coming and I don't mind Indian songs as well just as long they don't have Hindu references.
