Mehndi Outfits

Re: mehndi outfits

I’m sure they’r egreat but they are charging $400 for an outfit that shouldn’t even be more than $100! :smack:

Re: mehndi outfits

pyaari you actually got a good darzi not an expensive one as your ghararah is one of the few ones ive seen that are done right! Its got the right flare, and the goath is at the correct area too- Was it made in KArachi?

Re: mehndi outfits

Yah – I think it’s nice if the dulhan’s outfit is pretty but not overdone (same with the dulhan’s make up). As much as it sounds like an auntie thing to say, I do like that the wedding day is the day you seen the dulhan all done up. The look seems so much more special and stunning that way.

Re: mehndi outfits

Eh. Okkay you don’t have to do full wedding-style makeup and i agree that the contrast does look amazing, but cmon, greasy hair, dark undereye circles… nope not for me.. Gotta look stunning :d:balley:

Re: mehndi outfits

If I was back home, I would agree. But I’ve seen the price, and the quality, for clothes here… and babe, it’s cheaper to order online than trying to buy something really nice here. I wish I had the time to take 1-2 months off work to go back home and have a whole trousseau of outfits made, but the most I can get off is 2 weeks. For me it’s either order online, pay more than an arm and a leg for outdated styles at JH, or trust relatives with worse taste than a color-blind person. :frowning:

Re: mehndi outfits

Yeah yu're right. They do have nice outfits, but that one particular dress... too overpriced :(

Re: mehndi outfits

I agree! I went for the simple look – but I had eye make up, light base to even tone, blush, nude lipstick.

Re: mehndi outfits

I wear more makeup to school everyday :clown:

Re: mehndi outfits

^ You don’t need it.

Re: mehndi outfits

Haye..

Re: mehndi outfits

in Lahore....oh the darzi is awesome....but he is considered expensive to PK ppl....

Re: mehndi outfits

i wore eye makeup to school too…i even wore more makeup to school than i did on my mehndi…

Re: mehndi outfits

Pyari, whos the darzi? Do you have his # and addresss???

Re: mehndi outfits

i will call my sis tonight and ask her for the number....we just call him motu...lol. Do u know a lot of the different shops in Liberty?

Re: mehndi outfits

OMG motu?? lol was it imran and chuwa something too? :D

Re: mehndi outfits

pyaari83: your outfit is indeed pretty! but i don't get why u would wear that on a valima ?? It would be perfect for a mehndi occassion though! It just has that mehndi vibe to it.

Re: mehndi outfits

It’s pretty! BUT to me it doesn’t have the “MEHNDI” look to it at all!! The colors of the dulhan’s outfit aren’t anything close to mehndi colors:( or are they?? nooooooooo…I can’t be color blind:clown: the dulha on the other hand does look a little like he’s sitting at his mayoon/mehndi.

p.s. i have a mehndi/outfit pic i’d like to share but how do i upload???

Re: mehndi outfits

ya but when u see the type of clothes girls wear on mehndi u will think this is too fancy urself....simple is better...i have not seen one dulhan wearing something this fancy in PK...most girls wear shalwar kameez or churidaar's on their mehndi....

Re: mehndi outfits

^ yaar, i'm not saying that the girl (whose getting married) wear that on her mehndi but YOu as the brides sister could of worn it on her mehndi???? right? I've seen a mix of both.. simple & decked out when it comes to dressing up for your mehndi:) I myself keep it simple yet :Pretty: for mine.

Re: mehndi outfits

we had our mehndi's on the same day....so we wore the samething.....but ya i understand what ur saying....it is more of an outfit to wear on a mehndi...
