I have bought some material for my Mehndi outfit any ideas on how i should get it designed?

all suggestions appreciated xx

well I think you go for a lehnga two legged with little embroidery, a long shirt not too long with gootta embroidery on it with a lamba duppata with a thick border. what do u think :)

thanks angel.eyes. i have already got the material just unsure on how to get it sewn i maybe a churridar suit??

hey a churidar wud look well nyc.....but a plain sharara wud look kwl aswell......sumat like a plain sewn sharara.....n flower jewelry......know it sound bit wierd but it look well nyc......like a white flower neclase.....braclet.....pranda n earin.....u gta get it made.....ma cuzin did it like dat n wat can i sy it looked so beautiful n natural.......popa suited da mehndi theme.....lookin plain n dat.......

Well you colud make the suit into Churi dar and have kaam going over the ankle to legs bit and kaam on the front of Kameez and have a Border? I got my Mehndi suit from Southall its Lime Green Kameez with Fuscia/Gold Kaam on the top bit with Fuscia Churidar - the Duppatta is v light so will get mum to Jazz it up with a nice Border

Mahismart - The kameez is Hot pink with the little mirror things shalwar is pink yellow and a lil bit of green (no mirrors) and dupatta is hot pink yellow and lil bit of green with lil mirrors all over i don't know how it sounds but it is beautiful seriously

Lovely colour combo! :wub: I think a chooridar would look fab. I would do green and yellow pipping on the shirt’s daman, slits and sleeves. I think the following yellow flower thing would complete the look.

hi girls....i've only discovered this forum am sooooo glad since i'm getting married later this year lol.

was just wondering.....are you girls planning on wearing duppetta on your heads. ie having them pinned on etc.?

is it ok for the dulhan to have it pinned to the sides you think?

^ that really depends on ur family n inlaws…i will be covering my head and get my hair done at a salon…so will have the duppetta pinned by the salon lady.

rabia: i have to say....i love the mehendi suit in the first pic!!!

was just wondering what ppl were doing really....i'm thinking of having flowers added to my hair for the mehendi and have like a prandah style with maybe a french platt....but noone will see if i have a scarf on! lol

hmmm, my in laws are fairly islamic but mehendi will be all girls...... but guess wearing the scarf is more traditional.

I am gonna wear my dupatta on head but not over face gonna do a french plait like you creating volume on the top and wear a parandhah

I'v bought another dress now for my mehndi lol a yellow anarkali will wear pink sandals and pink accessories.
