My mehndi, wedding and valima were back to back from Friday to Sunday so there wasnt much time and I also preferred getting mehndi done on the day of the mehndi.
We had a party the night before the mehndi where we had the girl that was doing my mehndi come in with another girl and do all the female's mehndi the night before. Then I had the girl come in the next morning (day of the mehndi) to do my mehndi and my sisters. This way she wouldnt be tired (from putting mehndi on everyone elses hands) and wouldnt do a sloppy job, and would take her time doing it.
I also didnt want it done during the event at night because I knew I'd be dancing and meeting a lot of people and def did not want to worry about it. I hadnt washed it off but it was completely dry and was coming off by the time the event was going on. I also didnt wanna get it done the morning of the shaadi cuz i knew things would get very busy and also it might not have been as dark.
